I'm working on the many-body physics of excited states in condensed matters.
Such systems show distinct properties from ground states, which arise from the correlations among various degrees of freedom combined with the nonequilibrium nature of the systems. My recent research is particularly focused on the electronic states in highly excited diamonds.

In this work, we proposed and evaluated a new photo-excitation method to create a many-body system with cold and dense electrons and holes in diamond. We also determined fundamental quantities of free excitons, such as their lifetime and inter-level relaxation time.
